Team Values come to life

Not many group activities or training days include a session where a team can actually play and create a vision of what their values look and feel like. Art is a great way to illustrate a value or core principles in an organisation, but does the activity allow a small team to explore the depth and feel of the value?

An activity must be engaging and of course inclusive to all participants, with no boundaries for contribution or flow. The Pitch team-building activity, is a unique concept that allows teams of 7-8 pax to actually create a TV Commercial and pitch to an audience with judges.

Armed with a brief and a list of target markets, the team must choose, create and direct a commercial that would be embracing of a few core values of the team and business. Inclusion of products or services, results or market fluctuations add to the quality or depth of the team's creation. Either way the time used, with the people skills in the group, allow cohesion to create a masterpiece.

Especially popular is how in only a limited timeframe, teams compete against the clock to plan, strategies and put their twist on perception of values that address key principles to a market. using a creative medium to include in a dry training day, really adds pace and energy into a group. The beauty is that later in the agenda the group can judge each teams creative production.

Ok. so team building may be one outcome of the activity, but the linkage to how individuals contribute in the team to enhance the business is also a major outcome. Flexibility and the inclusion of props or even bazzar costumes can also make the session up beat, unique and memorable.
